Nicholas G. Sekas is the managing partner of the Sekas Law Group, in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. He graduated from Fordham University with a degree in Marketing and received his Juris Doctor from Pace Law School in 1986. He was admitted to the New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut bars in 1986.

Nicholas devotes the majority of his time to managing the law firm of the Sekas Law Group. His breadth of legal experience is broad, with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies, such as LG Electronics – to underprivileged members of society – such as Mamadou Soumare, a man who lost his family in a deadly Bronx fire.

Nicholas is a seasoned and experienced trial and real estate attorney with over 25 years experience in personal injuryreal estate and land use, and commercial/contract litigation. He began his law firm in 1988, in Edgewater, New Jersey and then became a senior partner in 1998, of his former firm, Sekas & Buzzetti, LLC, in Englewood Cliffs – which is currently known as the Sekas Law Group. His firm’s growth is a tribute to his success and his tremendous performance on behalf of his clients, as well as his loyalty, dedication and hard-work ethic for his clients and customer base, which has continued to grow since 1988. Last year, he received recognition as a Peer Rated Attorney by his colleagues based upon his hard work and ethical conduct. He was also nominated as a “Top American Professional” in the United States.

Nicholas is also Founder, Director, and Bank Counsel to Mariner’s Bank, a community bank serving Northern New Jersey. He is former General Counsel to Daibes Enterprises, based in Edgewater, New Jersey, former Planning Board Attorney in the Borough of Cliffside Park, New Jersey; and Zoning Board Attorney in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. He also assists many civic organizations including the Greek Orthodox Church in Tenafly, St. Demetrious Greek-Catholic Church, and EPIC school for Autistic children, located in Paramus, New Jersey. Nicholas is a member of the American, New Jersey, and New York Trial Associations and the New Jersey, New York, Bergen County, and Connecticut Bar Associations.

Mr. Gerbino was admitted to practice in New Jersey in December 2016 and admitted to practice in New York in June 2017.

Louis M. Gerbino is an Associate at Sekas Law Group. He graduated from Fordham University in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and graduated from Rutgers Law School in May 2016 with a Juris Doctor degree. Mr. Gerbino was admitted to practice in New Jersey in December 2016 and admitted to practice in New York in June 2017.

During his time in law school, Mr. Gerbino was a proud member of the Rutgers Intellectual Property Law Clinic for the Spring 2016 semester. As a Student Attorney practicing before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Gerbino engaged with and advised clients from intake onward on the full gamut of intellectual property and contract law issues.  Prior to joining the firm in September 2017, Mr. Gerbino was the Law Clerk to the Honorable Deborah M. Gross-Quatrone, J.S.C. for the 2016 to 2017 Court Term and a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Patrick J. Arre, J.S.C. during Spring 2015.

Mr. Gerbino works out of our Englewood Cliffs office and speaks fluent Spanish.
